2017 MTV VMA Nominations: Kendrick Lamar, The Weeknd & More

MTV has announced the nominations for the 2017 MTV Video Music Awards, revealing the 15 categories on Instagram.

In a surprising twist, the ceremony has done away with gendered nominations, combining the Best Female Video and Best Male Video categories into Artist of the Year.

Kendrick Lamar’s “Humble” video leads the pack with eight nods while Katy Perry and The Weeknd are tied in second place with five nominations each.
