We Have Ellen DeGeneres to Thank For Naming Adam Levine’s Baby (VIDEO)
Don’t like the name Dusty Rose? Take it up with Ellen DeGeneres.
“We had a name that we won't mention on television. The name game is tough game. It's a very hard, arduous [game],” the Maroon 5 frontman said.
“Imagine you're writing the best song you've ever written in your life and you have to name it.”
So, when things get hard, who do you turn to? Ellen.
"I texted Ellen and I was like, 'What do you think?' She was like, 'I hate it. I think it's a terrible name. I was like, 'Cool.' She gave me like five names to think about: This, this, this, this, Dusty. You basically named my kid."
The Voice coach really liked her suggestion, but it took his wife some time to warm up to it.

"I ran it by my wife and she's like, 'Mm, I don't like it,'" he admitted.
But, thankfully, the 27-year-old had a change of heart and the couple locked in the name for their daughter.
"I brought it back to her in the eleventh hour. I'm like 'Dusty's pretty cool!' She's like, 'I love it!'"
So how did the funny lady come up with such a unique moniker? Turns out she was inspired by the color rose.
