UPDATE: Amber Portwood Responds to Newest Custody Reports
UPDATE (5/23/2016 at 5:30 p.m. ET):
Don't mess with Amber Portwood! The Teen Mom OG star hit up Twitter to deny TMZ's claims about her change in custody, saying that it was not the court who decided on the current custody arrangement with Gary Shirley, but rather she decided on it herself.
"I'm the one who told Gary I would pay him money and I also said he could have primary because he's closer to her school," she began.
"We never went to court! I settled it myself! Gary and I agreed like adults!," she continued. "I told him I would pay him! He never asked!"
Gary even backed up his ex, tweeting, "Amber gave $ 2 help cover Leah's needs. We agreed she stay with my primarily due 2 her routine and I live closer to her school."

ORIGINAL STORY (5/23/16 at 10:04 am ET):
We thought Amber Portwood and Gary Shirley had come to an agreement on custody of their daughter, Leah, back when Teen Mom OG was on air, but apparently there was more to work out when the cameras stopped rolling.
Although Amber revealed at the end of the season that she was happy with being granted joint legal custody while Gary got primary physical custody — the 7-year-old has been living with her dad since 2011 when Amber went to prison — it seems like that arrangement has changed slightly.

TMZ reports the Indiana couple went to court last week and Gary has “primary physical custody” of the little girl. Additionally, Amber will have to pay him $1,200 a month in child support.
But don’t feel too bad for the 26-year-old. She’ll still get to see her daughter pretty much whenever she pleases, and even got some quality mother/daughter time in this weekend.
Amber posted a few cute photos of herself and her family driving around in a convertible, Leah included:
The bride-to-be also shared a new selfie of herself and fiancé Matt Baier, who’s been MIA from her photos for months. Good to know they’re still going strong!
Both Amber and Matt have been plagued with supposed money problems over the past few weeks, with reports claiming she owes over $130,000 in back taxes and he still needs to pay up to his numerous baby mamas after postponing the hearing twice.
But with her huge MTV payday plus her side business of house-flipping, it’s likely handled, and $1,200 a month is just a drop in the bucket.
We’re sure we’ll learn more about the custody arrangement on the upcoming season of Teen Mom OG. Stay tuned to Wetpaint for more updates!
