The Watch What Happens: Live star had a black mark on his lip checked out after Kelly and her husband Mark Consuelos noticed it last spring and badgered him to see a doctor.

The 48-year-old eventually relented, and the mark turned out to be melanoma, which he promptly had removed. Now, the self-proclaimed "tanorexic" insists he's doing well.

He noted that the scare has changed his relationship with the sun, saying, "I never thought that kind of thing would happen to me."

Both he and Kelly stressed the importance of checking one's skin for potential cancer, as the 46-year-old beauty admitted Andy was the third friend of hers whom she had urged to have a suspicious mark looked at by doctors.
