Ashanti Says She’s “Not a Stripper” After Fans Throw Cash at Her On-Stage (VIDEO)

One innocent on-stage lap dance does not a stripper make.

And Ashanti is clapping back at audience members who threw cash at her during a recent performance, saying she's not a stripper just because she's doing some, uh, suggestive dance moves on stage.

It all went down during the pop star's recent concert at Neal S. Blaisdell Center in Honolulu, Hawaii.

Bihhhhh...But who did he think #Ashanti was thoe? A stripper Perhaps? @Ashanti

Dressed in a skimpy corset, the star grinded up on a male dancer and began to give him a lap dance.

"I'm gonna need you to stop throwing that money," Ashanti said after telling her band to stop the music.

"I'm not a f—king stripper, okay?"

As it turns out, the audience members who threw the dollar bills are employees at a nearby strip club called Ballarrinas, according to TMZ, so we guess for them it was just habit?

And one person in particular was angry that the 37-year-old couldn't take a joke — Dyamin Thomas, the strip club's owner, who ranted about the incident on social media.

"WAIT Ashanti ain’t that you in your background video throwing money ? And aren’t you giving a lap dance ? Lmfao," the caption read.

Even Cardi B was brought into it.

"Now we know why #CARDIB the only one winning right now. #FACTS," the post continued, referencing the "Bodak Yellow" singer's success.

But the "Foolish" singer isn't the only R&B star who's made headlines for calling out some fans mid-concert.

Last week, the internet lauded rapper Drake after he called out a male fan on-stage who was groping women around him inappropriately.

“If you don’t stop touching girls, I’m gonna come out there and f—k you up, bruh,” Drizzy said to the guy in the front row.

“I’m not playing with you. If you don’t stop putting your hands on girls, I’m gonna come out there and f—k your ass up.”

Just look at all these mega stars taking a stance for women and women's empowerment. We'd like a whole lot more of this, please!
