Chris Soules to Appear as Nick Viall’s Advisor on ‘Bachelor’ 2017
There’s no arguing Nick Viall could use a little help in the love department.
A daunting task, no doubt. Luckily, he has a good friend to assist!
But wait, didn’t he and Whitney call their engagement off after just six months?
Sure, but that doesn’t seem to matter to the producers — though the irony isn’t lost on Prince Farming himself.
“I will be on Nick’s season giving him advice,” the 35-year-old tells People. “I don’t know why they’re having us give advice when we’ve been unsuccessful on this journey.”
Ha! No one can accuse Chris of not having a good sense of humor about himself. Also, we sort of have high hopes for his appearance, and hear us out.
Though we don’t yet know what he’ll tell his 36-year-old single friend prior to night one — when most Bachelor star advisors pop in — the two have been close for some time now.
That definitely makes Chris more qualified than some random other Bachelor, seeing as he knows the Wisconsin fella’s habits and leanings when it comes to women.
That’s not all, either.
Just because the Iowa hunk didn’t marry his final pick Whitney — who’s now marrying someone else — they were able to end things amicably, which is important.
“We ended things on the best terms you can possibly imagine,” he’s previously said. “I’m happy for her. I’m not surprised. She’s a great girl.”
He’s also got one more important quality.
He knows how different it is to be the star of the franchise versus a contestant, a transition our current Bach might not be ready for.
So don’t count out Chris yet, guys! Personally, we’re looking forward to him showing up.
The Bachelor Season 21 premieres Monday, January 2 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
