Who Is ‘Bachelor’ Contestant Raven Gates’s Ex-Boyfriend? (PHOTOS)
Didn’t Carrie Underwood teach all the men that hell hath no fury like a woman scorned?
“I haven’t had good past relationships,” the 25-year-old boutique owner tells the Bachelor, which, we were about to learn, was an understatement.
As she explained, her last relationship ended in February 2016 after she “walked in on [him cheating]” — which isn’t even the craziest part of the story.
Apparently, her former beau’s colleague (a nurse) called the Arkansas gal while she was with her parents, and warned her he was kissing another girl at the bar.
“I got in the car and sped all the way to Little Rock, had the key to the house, opened the door, jiggled the handle to the bedroom and it was locked so I kicked it open,” she recalls.
What she found was every girl’s nightmare, as Raven so eloquently put it — he was “on top of her, thrusting.”
She then pummeled the naked pair, and even whacked the guy in the head with his hookup’s stiletto.
“I don’t know if I’m afraid or turned on or what,” Nick replies. “For the record, I’ve never cheated on anyone.”
So, who was this guy who didn’t turn out to be her “ride or die”? A little investigation gave us some answers.
According to social media context clues, the Season 21 contestant’s philandering ex is a guy by the name of Hunter Henry.
The dark-haired fella's Facebook profile says he's a recent graduate of University of Arkansas Medical School in Little Rock — where Raven claims she found him with the other woman.
It also makes sense the colleague who outed him was a nurse, considering he was in his residency at the time. He’s since graduated and works as a doctor in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
Prior to their split, the couple looked pretty serious, spending his birthday together in fall 2015.
Lining up with the timeline of their February split, the last photo of the couple was in late January 2016.
Hunter and Raven went duck hunting on this final (photographed) outing, as one would in Arkansas.
They made a cute pair, but it seems to be for the best.
“It’s very strange to say, but getting out of that relationship and being able to look from the outside in that I was valuable,” she mused on her date with the Bachelor.
“I don’t know why it took a relationship of infidelity to get me there but if someone can’t value me the way I should be valued, they’re not worth my time.”
The Bachelor Season 21 airs Mondays at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
