Big Ang Dead at Age 55 — ‘Mob Wives’ Castmates Post Tributes (PHOTOS)

Angela “Big Ang” Raiola died early this morning, February 18, after battling throat cancer.

The Mob Wives star, who was just 55 years old, had surgery to remove a tumor in early 2015 but, by the end of last year, she’d learned it had returned.

News of Big Ang’s passing was announced via the reality star’s Twitter account not soon after a rep had to deny early reports that she’d passed late night on February 17.

“It is with sad regret that we inform you that at 3:01AM Angela Raiola peacefully ended her battle with cancer, and was called home,” the statement begins. “She was surrounded by nothing but love from her immediate family, and closest friends.”

“Thank you for your love, prayers, and unconditional support of Angela right to the very end,” the statement continues, also acknowledging fan support. “She truly went out richer than any monetary value could ever amount to. The family asks for privacy, and peace during this most difficult time.”
