‘Big Brother 19’ Contestant Leaves House Early Due to PTSD From Past Sexual Assault

Less than a week into Big Brother 19, two houseguests have already left the house.

While one, Cameron Heard, was voted out, another houseguest, Megan Lowder, chose to self-evict.

Now Megan has opened up about what caused her to leave.

Though the 28-year-old told the other houseguests she was just a dog walker, she was also in the Navy and during that time she was sexually assaulted, which caused her to have PTSD.

“In the house… I had a lot of guys yelling at me and attacking me and it started really affecting me and making my anxiety severe and I was starting to get physically ill,” she told The Desert Sun. “I was throwing up, I had diarrhea, I was nauseous all the time.”

During the two-night premiere of the season, fellow houseguest Josh Martinez was seen yelling at Megan, claiming she was a “snake” and out to get him.

Though Megan denied it, Josh again called her out in front of the rest of the houseguests in the kitchen.

Later on, Josh apologized and she seemed to accept his apology though she said she “wouldn’t forget.”

After that, things only got worse for Megan in the house.

Cody Nickson was made Head-of-Household and though Megan went to talk to him about not being put up for eviction, he still nominated her.

“I just don’t like you that much,” he simply said as his explanation for nominating her.

It’s unclear what exactly happened after that because the first two episodes were pre-recorded but fans were surprised to find Megan missing when the live feeds came on.

Of course, many began to speculate what could've led to her departure and many started jumping to conclusions.

On the feeds, Alex Ow, who was nominated for eviction in Megan’s place, told Kevin Schlehuber that Megan tried to convince Alex fellow houseguest Jessica Graf was racist and called Alex a “panda,” according to Big Brother Daily.

Alex then spoke to the producers about it and now believes Jessica didn’t say that but she’s not 100 percent sure.

This caused many fans to believe Megan purposefully tried to cause drama in the house and then when she got caught she decided to self-evict.

However, after this interview most fans sympathize with Megan and wish her the best, as do we.
