Cardi B Scores Movie Deal and Tops Beyoncé on the Charts!
It’s a great time to be Cardi B!
The rapper is one of the hottest names in music right now, but it sounds like she’s heading to the big screen, too!
According to TMZ, the “Bodak Yellow” hitmaker just landed her first ever movie role.
We have no idea what the movie is called or who else will be in it, but sources say filming begins in March.
Not to mention, the 25-year-old just surpassed Beyoncé on the Billboard charts!
In fact, she became the third person — and first woman — to have five of the top 10 hits on the R&B/Hip-Hop chart in a single week.
This is huge!
She now ties Drake — who has done it eight times — and Kendrick Lamar, who did it in 2017.
Cardi was previously tied with Bey, who has had four songs on the charts.
Fans on social media congratulated the starlet on the big achievement.
“Cardi B has surpassed Beyoncé as the first woman to have 5 Top 10 singles on the R&B/Hip-Hop charts with Bodak Yellow, Bartier Cardi, and features G-Easy No Limit, Migos Motorsport and lastly Finesse Remix with Bruno Mars,” one user wrote.
“So wild how Cardi B is out here tying Beyoncé records & s—t... she is basically the Michael Jordan/Jackson of Skrippers,” another person added.
Somebody else wrote, “They are comparing cardi B & Beyoncé.... WOW.”
