Chandra Wilson Sings to Help Jesse Williams’s Real-Life Knee Injury (VIDEO)

Now here’s some medicine you might not see on Grey's Anatomy! Chandra Wilson (Miranda Bailey) helped co-star Jesse Williams (Jackson Avery) come back from a basketball injury — by singing “Can’t Help Lovin’ Dat Man” as Jesse exercised his wounded knee.

This voice can rehab anything: Coming Back Stronger Than Ever, like @KobeBryant. @GreysABC #TGIT @iJesseWilliams

In case you missed it, the Grey’s heartthrob hurt his knee competing in the Sprint NBA All-Star Celebrity Game 2015 on February 2013, and the cringe-inducing knee twist was even captured on film.

The 33-year-old has since taken a morbid intellectual curiosity in his recuperation, Instagramming such classic moments as the time he drained blood from his swollen knee into the toilet.

Now, in this much more palatable Instagram video from Ellen Pompeo (Meredith Grey), Jesse flexes his knee, grimacing through the pain, while Chandra assists and serenades him.

Oh listen sister, I love my mister man / And I can't tell you why, there ain't no reason / Why I should love dat man
"Can't Help Lovin' Dat Man"

“This voice can rehab anything,” Ellen writes in the video caption. “Coming back stronger than ever, like Kobe Bryant.”

The song, by the way, is an old standard that dates back to the 1927 musical Show Boat and has since been popularized by singers like Billie Holliday, Ella Fitzgerald, Shirley Bassey, and Lena Horne.

Hey, we believe in the healing power of Chandra’s voice! Can she do something about this back ache?
