Chicago Fire’s Molly Glynn Dies at 46 After Being Struck by Falling Tree
This is very sad news from the TV world, as Chicago Fire actress Molly Glynn died over the weekend after she was struck by a falling tree.
Molly, 46, was riding her bike with husband Joe Foust in the woods in suburban Chicago on Friday when she was hit by the tree. She was taken to a hospital in Chicago and died from her injuries the following day.
Molly played a doctor in three episodes of Chicago Fire's first season in 2013. She has also appeared in episodes of the TV shows Boss and Early Edition.
Molly's grief-stricken husband took to Facebook to share the tragic news. He called Friday the "darkest day," and after she passed away, he wrote, "I couldn't save her. I couldn't save her. She's gone." Later, he thanked everyone for supporting him and added: "Love hard, people. Love hard."
A Give Forward page has been established to help Joe pay for medical and funeral costs, along with helping to support his sons. Thus far, the page has raised $119,000 in donations. Our thoughts are with Molly's friends and loved ones during this very difficult time.
