Chloe Lukasiak Reveals Why She Returned to ‘Dance Moms’ — Exclusive
Chloe Lukasiak is ready to re-write her ending on this season of Dance Moms.
The 16-year-old, who dramatically left the Lifetime show after Season 4, is making her triumphant return to the popular reality show for Season 7B.
The dancer told Wetpaint all about the new season of Dance Moms, why she decided to return, and dished on her new coach, Cheryl Burke.
Fans of the show know the teenager and her mother, Christi Lukasiak, left the dance show in 2014 because they did not get along with Abby Lee Miller.
In fact, neither Chloe nor her mom expected to make a return to the show.
“It was a difficult time in my life and I had a hard time dealing with everything that had happened, so I didn’t think I was going to return.”
But, after a few years away from the drama, the starlet realized she wanted to have a proper goodbye with her fellow dancers.
“I heard it was the last season of the show, and so I wanted to come back and have some closure, because I left very abruptly and I didn’t really have a proper goodbye,” she revealed.
“I wanted to come back and say goodbye and have my last moment with everyone, because I’ve been there since the beginning.”
Because she had been off reality TV for nearly three years, jumping back in front of the camera was a bit of a shock.
“Yes and no,” she said when asked if it was difficult getting back into reality TV.
“It wasn’t any different than I had remembered and it was like I never left, but then at the same time it was hard because I forgot about how much you don’t have a life when you’re filming.”
She continued, “It becomes very much about the show.”
As for her new instructor, Dancing With the Stars pro Cheryl Burke, the actress notices quite the difference between the 33-year-old and her former coaches.
“She’s amazing, I love Cheryl,” she gushed.
“She’s very encouraging and instead of being degrading about our differences, our weaknesses, and our strengths, she would focus on how to bring out each of our strengths and how to capitalize on that.”
Along with being a positive teacher, the two-time Mirrorball Champion knows what it takes to be successful in this industry.
“It was really amazing to be working with someone who is in this business and understands what you’re going through,” Chloe continued.
“She’s so encouraging, she’s so nice, she’s a tough teacher, but she’s not mean."
