‘Flip or Flop’ Stars Christina and Tarek El Moussa Reflect on Their “Crazy Year”
While 2016 wasn’t the best year for anyone, Christina and Tarek El Moussa definitely had a rough go of it. Now that the year is coming to a close, both Flip or Flop stars took to Instagram to reflect on the past year.
2016 has been a crazy year of highs and lows. A lot of things have changed but one thing will always remain a constant in my life and that is the love I have for our children... their genuine happy spirit is always the light at the end of the tunnel.. May 2017 be a start to a fabulous year ahead and bring happiness, peace, joy and new adventures to you all.
The mom of two posted a collage of her best nine photos of the year and noted 2016 was “a crazy year of highs and lows,” which doesn’t even begin to cover it.
The reality stars announced in October they were separating after seven years of marriage, and soon after came the news their popular HGTV show would end in 2017.
Despite the negatives, the 33-year-old ended her post on a happy note: “May 2017 be a start to a fabulous year ahead and bring happiness, peace, joy, and new adventures to you all.”
Today signifies they end of another year. It's a time where we all reflect on our own personal journey. Looking back we must ask ourselves what we did right and what we did wrong. It's a time to look back and ask ourselves if we took advantage of the year we will never get back. For me... 2016 was the biggest defining year of my life. It was a year that will change the destination of my life and I'm ready for the ride. The crazy ride of 2016 taught me so much about myself. Today, going into 2017, I've learned i'm much stronger than I ever thought possible and the lessons I learned in 2016 will stay with me through the rest of my life. I truly believe in all these words and I urge everyone to look back and ask yourself what lessons can you take from 2016 to make 2017 the best year ever!! HA
A little differently, Tarek’s reflection came in the form of a slideshow with Rascal Flatt’s “Bless the Broken Road” as the soundtrack. However, his post was just as hopeful.
“For me… 2016 was the biggest defining year of my life,” the 35-year-old wrote. “It was a year that will change the destination of my life and I’m ready for the ride.”
Although 2016 obviously had its ups and downs for the reality stars, it’s great to see they’re both keeping a positive outlook for next year. We hope they both have a a good one.
