Corinne Olympios Apologizes to DeMario Jackson: “I Am So Sorry You Had to Go Through This”

Last week it was DeMario Jackson’s opportunity to clear the air, this week it was all about Corinne Olympios.

It’s been two months since the Bachelor in Paradise controversy that nearly shutdown production for good, but now the former Bachelor contestant is finally sharing her side of the story.

On last night’s episode of BIP, the 25-year-old sat down with host Chris Harrison to discuss the scandal, the aftermath, and how the whole situation has personally affected her.

"It was definitely really, really rough for me. There are no words,” she said while reflecting on the situation.

"This is my first time talking about what happened and my take on things and I would love for everyone to just have a better understanding of me.”

A producer filed a misconduct complaint following the situation between Corinne and DeMario, but production was ultimately cleared of any wrongdoing.

"The first day, unfortunately, I don't remember much of. I definitely overdrank, I did,” she admitted.

“I was also on some medicine that you're not supposed to drink on, which I didn't know. The combination of the two is just not a good combination, I am now weaning myself off that medication."

She continued, “It was obviously very scary for me and very different."

Though she doesn’t remember what happened on the day of the scandal, the Miami native doesn’t blame anybody on production.

"I was mentally checked out...which is beyond scary, but it is what it is I guess,” she revealed.

“I don't think it's anyone's fault, I just think that it was, again, an unfortunate and annoying situation that had to go down and it really sucks."

She also doesn’t blame DeMario, who received a lot of backlash following the scandal, and wants people to know she’s never spoken badly about him.

"I honestly don't feel like he did anything wrong. I really just want people to know that I don't blame DeMario,” the blonde beauty revealed.

“I never pointed fingers at DeMario. I never said a bad word about DeMario."

Though they have yet to speak, Corinne also wants him to know she’s sorry for what he’s been put through.

"I would want to tell him, like listen, I respect you as a human. I have nothing against you,” she continued.

“I am so sorry you had to go through this. I know exactly what it feels like...and I wish you all the best and I'm sorry."
