‘Counting On’ Premiere: Jill Dillard, Jessa Seewald Forgive Josh Duggar (VIDEO)
Despite all the Josh Duggar drama this year, Jill Dillard and Jessa Seewald are moving on and deciding to forgive.
The sisters returned to TV last night with their new TLC special, Jill & Jessa: Counting On, and, while we got insight into their individual family lives, their older brother’s indiscretions were discussed quite a bit.

When it comes to the first scandal, that a teenaged Josh molested five underage girls (including Jill and Jessa) nearly a decade ago, Jill said she and Jessa had “moved on from there.”
But when it all resurfaced in the news, being “thrown under the bus was really really hard.” Jessa added that it was “frustrating” that people dug up the past.
Jessa also admitted there was a period of time where the family didn’t trust Josh, but trust was rebuilt afterwards.
That being said, when the second scandal — the one where Josh admitted to being addicted to porn and cheating on wife Anna Duggar — hit, that rocked the family once more.
Jill recalled feeling betrayed by her brother for letting herself and Jessa defend him while he was hiding this dark news. As for Jessa, she said she was “devastated.”

While other members of the family are having some difficulty moving past all the drama, these two are putting it all behind them.
“Jessa and I can say that we’ve chosen to forgive Josh,” Jill said. “That’s an important part of our healing. If you don’t forgive you can’t move on.”
Jill & Jessa: Counting On continues Sunday, December 20, at 8 p.m. ET on TLC.
