5 Best ‘DWTS’ Switch Up Dances Ever (VIDEOS)
This Monday brings us the fourth ever Dancing With the Stars Switch-Up Week.
It's always a scary prospect for stars to be handed over to new pros, but the Season 22 cast should take comfort in knowing that in seasons past, this week has gone well for many dancers.

In fact, in some cases it's produced specular work that really elevated contestants to new heights.
To prove the Switch Up isn't just a gimmick but rather a challenge that can bring out the best in the dancers, here are our five favorite switch up dances ever.
5. Season 19: Sadie Robertson & Derek Hough, Charleston
It's a year and a half later and we still wish Sadie had been given a more Charleston-appropriate song for this dance, because the music kinda kills it for us. But there's no question this pairing was a delight and she did a great job.

4. Season 21: Carlos PenaVega & Lindsay Arnold, Quickstep
Carlos had been flagging a bit after a strong start, but this high-energy dance put him back in the game.
3. Season 19: Alfonso Ribeiro & Cheryl Burke, Flamenco
Clearly the Season 19 winner could flourish with any teacher, because he rocked just as hard with Cheryl as he did with Witney.
2. Season 21: Alexa PenaVega & Derek Hough, Tango
This performance was easily Alexa's best to date, and gave new life to her run on the show.

1. Season 18: Meryl Davis & Val Chmerkovskiy, Argentine Tango
Meryl and Val are one of our favorite winning teams in DWTS history, and yet every time we watch this dance, we can't help but wonder what a Val and Meryl pairup would have looked like.
Let's see if someone can top these this season
Dancing With the Stars airs Mondays at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
