Nick and Vanessa Lachey Reveal Who Their Kids Will Root for on ‘DWTS’ Season 25

Dancing With the Stars is keeping it in the family for Season 25.

Nick and Vanessa Lachey are both competing for the coveted Mirrorball Trophy, but will this family face-off force their children to pick sides?

Thankfully, the 98 Degrees singer thinks his kids will each pick a different parent to cheer for.

The pair, who married in 2011, have three children together — 4-year-old son Camden, 2-year-old daughter Brooklyn, and 10-month old son Phoenix.

"I'm counting on the kids to not play favorites, to be unbiased and support mommy and daddy," the father of three said to E! News.

"I think my daughter will be Team Daddy and my son will definitely be Team Mommy."

The 43-year-old is partnered with Peta Murgatroyd, while his wife will be dancing with the Aussie’s husband, Maks Chmerkovskiy

"It's funny, I don't know. My husband has made his career and his living on singing and when he sings in the house, my son is like, 'Daddy, stop singing,’” Vanessa shared.

“But he lets me sing. I'm like, 'That's my boy!' But my daughter, of course, thinks Nick hung the sun, moon and stars. So maybe we'll have a split household. I don't know."

Maks, however, reminded the 36-year-old of her third child Phoenix, who will probably cheer on both mommy and daddy.

"I feel like, mathematically, you guys have 1.5 kids per person," the pro dancer said.

"Phoenix is going to just sit there and giggle," the former beauty queen added.

The Lacheys join the likes of Frankie Muniz, Nikki Bella, Drew Scott, and so many others for what’s sure to be a fantastic season in the ballroom.

The entire Season 25 cast was announced on Good Morning America on Wednesday, September 6 and everyone seemed ready to start dancing.

For Vanessa and Nick, they’re just looking forward to bond with another couple in Maks and Peta.

“This is a really beautiful and intimate thing that you do and it’s intense — both emotionally and physically — and you develop a relationship not only with your partner, but the partner’s family,” the former TRL host told People.
