Dylan O’Brien Suffers Broken Bones While Filming New ‘Maze Runner’ Movie
March 17 was a scary one for Dylan O'Brien on the set of the new Maze Runner movie.
The 24-year-old actor was filming a scene involving a car for the latest installment in the YA film franchise, titled The Death Cure, when disaster struck.
Sources on the set at the time of the accident tell TMZ Dylan, who plays Thomas in the series, was run over by the automobile, resulting in multiple broken bones and a trip to the hospital.
The Teen Wolf star was rushed to a hospital in British Columbia where he is still being treated for "severe injuries."
“Dylan O’Brien was injured yesterday while filming Maze Runner: The Death Cure in Vancouver, Canada,” 20th Century Fox said in a statement, according to The Hollywood Reporter. “He was immediately transferred to a local hospital for observation and treatment. Production on the film will be shut down while he recovers. Our thoughts go out to Dylan for a full and speedy recovery."
So far there's no telling if this will push back the February 17, 2017 premiere date of the Wes Ball-directed film or if it'll affect his MTV series, which just aired its Season 5 finale.
