Melisandre Has “Pivotal” Role in Game of Thrones Season 6
Jon Snow’s fate is the worst-kept secret about the upcoming season of Game of Thrones. We all know he’s not going to stay dead, there’s so much evidence out there, yet the show and its stars continue to claim that he’s gone for good. Could we be wrong?

The latest actor to broach the subject is Carice van Houten, who portrays Melisandre on the HBO fantasy drama. Most fans theorize that Mel will be the one who resurrects Jon Snow in Season 6, given the Lord of Light’s previously demonstrated ability to do just that, but the 39-year-old actress says that’s not the case.
Speaking to the Wall Street Journal, Carice flat out denied that Mel would bring Jon Snow back to life in Season 6, but she did say that her character plays a pivotal role in the upcoming season and that she goes through a “transformation.”

So what is she talking about?
Well, despite her denial, we still think her “pivotal role” will consist of breathing life back into Jon Snow... but as for her transformation? She’s got us there. The one thing we can think of, given her prior obsession for bringing a stone dragon to life, is that maybe she herself will turn into the stone dragon she seeks.
