Gigi Hadid Criticized For Defending Herself After Man Grabs Her in Public (VIDEO)
Don’t mess with Gigi Hadid!
The Sports Illustrated model had to defend herself after she was attacked by a male stranger after leaving the Max Mara fashion show during Milan Fashion Week with sister Bella Hadid.
The man grabbed her from behind and lifted her up and the 21-year-old threw her elbow back to hit him in the face in self-defense.
And now Gigi is being criticized for the way she handled the situation.
"To unknown article writer: fan?!!! The ACTUAL fans that were there can tell you what happened,” she wrote on Twitter.
"I’m a HUMAN BEING — and had EVERY RIGHT to defend myself. How dare that idiot thinks he has the right to man-handle a complete stranger. He ran quick tho."
While crazy people like this guy can make fame difficult at times, at least Gigi has her "girl squad" to help her navigate the tough territory.
"Yeah it is definitely, between us, an open conversation,” she said of her crew which includes the likes of Taylor Swift and Karlie Kloss.
“The reason you become so close to people in the industry is that they understand what it is that you are experiencing.”
"We all teach and learn from one another. If you have a question about privacy, for example, everyone is super helpful about it."
Too bad her squad wasn’t there to handle that inappropriate stranger. But we think Gigi handled it well all on her own!
