Food is supposed to bring people together, but in this sneak peek from this week’s Grey's Anatomy Season 12 episode, it’s only driving married doctors Jackson and April even further apart.

The preview begins when Jackson gets back to their house, ready to eat a burrito and go to bed as April packs up and moves out. But instead he finds her making the two of them dinner.

“What is it, boiled bunny?” Jackson says, referencing Fatal Attraction. “Because you sound crazy. I feel like a hostage, like a reverse hostage where the kidnapper follows me everywhere and won’t leave my damn house.”

“You know what they call that? Marriage,” April retorts. “And it gets hard, but you don’t just leave. You don’t stop.”

But Jackson isn’t buying it: “You do. You do just stop. You know what they call that? Divorce.”

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Sarah Drew dissects her character’s stubbornness to call it quits: “She will stop at nothing. She is tenacious to a fault and persistent. She believes in her marriage vows. She believes there’s no possibility of divorce in her mind … It’s going to be a really, really long process to try and get back into his good graces, but she’s fighting.”
