The 36-year-old actor will star in Braven, an action thriller that’ll be directed by Lin Oeding, a veteran stunts guru who has worked on Inception, Star Trek, and The Dark Knight Rises.

Coincidentally or not, Lin also did stunt work on the upcoming film Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, in which Jason will make his debut as Arthur Curry aka Aquaman.

Brazen “centers on a humble logger (Momoa) residing along the U.S.-Canada border, who is confronted by a group of deadly drug runners in his secluded cabin in the mountains and must do everything in his power to protect his family,” according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Jason has a busy dance card these days: He’s also set to star in the thriller Sugar Mountain, the comedy Going Under (opposite Bruce Willis and “asshole” Tyga), and the dystopian romance The Bad Batch (alongside Keanu Reeves and Jim Carrey). Plus, he’ll reprise his Aquaman role in two Justice League films and a standalone flick.
