Stacey Dash Calls Jesse Williams a “Hollywood Plantation Slave”
While most of us applauded Jesse Williams’s rousing speech about black inequality at the 2016 BET Awards, Stacey Dash dashed to her blog to express her discontent, even calling the Grey’s Anatomy star a “plantation slave.”
The Clueless actress, who famously argued against Black History Month, tried to invalidate all of Jesse’s arguments.
“I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again: BET is keeping racism and segregation alive and this past Sunday’s awards show proves it,” she wrote on her Patheos blog.
“Particularly the speech given by Grey’s Anatomy star Jesse Williams, whose tirade after receiving the 2016 BET Humanitarian Award for his black activism was nothing short of an attack on white people.”
“You’ve just seen the perfect example of a Hollywood plantation slave!” Stacey continued. “Sorry, Mr. Williams. But the fact that you were standing on that stage at those awards tells people you really don’t know what your [sic] talking about. Just spewing hate and anger.”
Jesse did seem angry — but some would say with good reason. According to MappingPoliceViolence.org, police killed more than 100 unarmed black individuals last year alone.
And Stacey’s complaints come as The Guardian reports 532 people have been killed by police officers this year so far, with black individuals suffering the highest proportion of those killings.
Stacey is a Fox News contributor — maybe she could invite him to an on-air debate and see how well her argument holds up!
