Jinger Duggar Announces Engagement to Jeremy Vuolo (VIDEO)
Another Duggar is tying the knot!
Jinger Duggar is officially engaged to Jeremy Vuolo— and of course TLC banked in on the precious moment for the new season of Counting On.
In a clip exclusively released by the network, the grinning duo gushed about how excited they are to be engaged.
Jinger’s new beau revealed he was “over the moon” that she said yes, while the brunette beauty raved he is “the man of her dreams.”
And of course Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar couldn’t hold in their excitement either and posted a message about their daughter's exciting news on the family's website.
“We are so excited about another Duggar wedding!” the matriarch and patriarch posted.
“We know that wonderful days are ahead for Jinger and Jeremy and we are looking forward to every moment! Our entire family rejoices!”
The newlyweds also released a statement to People soon after the news was announced.
“So excited to share this news that we are now engaged. From both of us, thank you all for the countless well-wishes we've received during the courtship.
“We are so excited to take this next step in spending our lives together. We are so grateful for how the Lord has brought us together.
“It has been an incredible journey so far and we are excited about serving Christ together in the coming days.”
A preview for the upcoming season of the family's reality show Counting On reveals Jeremy popped the question in June, six months after the two began their courtship.
The 22-year-old first shared the news that they were courting last month in a video, as Jeremy explained just how serious courting can be.
“As opposed to a more casual dating relationship, we really want to honor the Lord and be very intentional about how we move forward,” the former soccer player said.
The future Mr. and Mrs. are not allowed to hold hands and can only side-hug during their courtship, and must have a chaperone on all dates — which is usually one of the many Duggar boys.
Most importantly, the couple cannot kiss or get their groove on until their wedding day— which, fingers crossed, will be shown during the reality show’s new season.
“We believe it's best for them to save the physical part for marriage,” mama bear Michelle has said.
“That way there's no regrets.”
Counting On Season 2 premieres Tuesday, August 23rd at 9 p.m. ET on TLC.
