Amy Duggar Explains Why She Wasn’t at Cousin Jinger’s Wedding
Jinger Duggar married husband Jeremy Vuolo on Saturday, November 8 in front of all her friends and family, but one person was notably missing.
Her cousin, Amy (Duggar) King, wasn’t one of the 1,000 guests in attendance, but the 30-year-old had a good excuse.
“I was absolutely invited. I love my family!” she told Entertainment Tonight. “There is no rift between me and my cousins at all. It was just wrong timing.
“We already had something scheduled,” she explained.
She and husband Dillon King already had planned a trip to Las Vegas before they received details about the wedding day and weren’t able to change their flights.
The couple attended the 2017 SEMA Show, which is an automotive specialty products trade show. Dillion owns a company called Wet Ink Designs that does printing for vehicles.
“This was planned a year in advance, so there was no way I could let my husband go without me. I let my family know I loved them and that I couldn’t make it.”
While there seems to be no bad blood in the Duggar brood now, there has been speculation of a feud in the past due to Amy’s harsh opinions about Josh Duggar and his scandal.
Though she wasn’t in attendance, Amy did make sure to send her well wishes to the happy couple with a sweet Instagram post.
“Love you Jinger! My heart is back home but my feet are in Vegas! Miss you,” she captioned the photo.
