Sorry, Tidal! Kanye West Launching Streaming Service to Rival Jay-Z’s — Report

Well, this hip hop beef doesn't seem to be dying down anytime soon.

Despite reports rap heavyweights Kanye West and Jay-Z were this close to settling their feud once and for all, 'Ye has made a move that's only going to intensify it — he might be launching a streaming service to rival Jay's.

This rap beef has been on-and-off for years both on a personal and professional level.

But things heated up again in September after Kanye called out Jay's wife, Beyoncé, for only attending that year's MTV Video Music Awards because she won Video of the Year.

And though the men at least settled things on a personal level, it seems now Yeezy is coming for his rival's business ventures.

The 40-year-old has just filed a trademark for Yeezy Sound, assumed to be a streaming service similar to Tidal, Daily Mail reports.

It would be for the "streaming of music, audio, images, video and other multimedia content over the internet," but what's unknown is if it would just promote Kanye's music, or feature tracks from other artists as well.

If the rumors are true it wouldn't be too shocking, considering the rocky past Kim Kardashian's husband has had with Tidal since its debut in 2015.

The fashion designer still claims he is owed upwards of $3.5 million from Tidal in unpaid advances and bonuses from his 2016 album release, Life of Pablo.

As a result, Kanye called the father of three and his wife out on stage, and Jay retaliated by rapping about the beef on his new album, 4:44.

And if Yeezy Sound does come to fruition, it'll be just one of many undoubtedbly successful projects North and Saint's dad has been working on.

The mogul has released five seasons worth of clothing for his high-end line, Yeezy, as well as a successful brand of sneakers, Yeezy Boosts.

Plus, as Wetpaint reported, Kimye recently sold their Bel-Air mansion for $17.8 million, so these two just keep rolling it in!
