After nearly a year of speculation, Kelly Ripa has finally found her new partner in crime.
The talk show host is set to announce her new Live! co-host on Monday’s episode, much to the excitement of fans.
So who’s the lucky new person? Drum roll, please.
Your brand new Live! co-host is…. Ryan Seacrest!
The former American Idol host has been tapped as the next co-host, according to CNN's Brian Stelter.
Though the 42-year-old currently lives in Los Angeles, sources say he's planning on moving to New York to begin his new job.
The On Air With Ryan Seacrest star is no stranger to hosting some very famous programs, from American Idol to New Year's Rockin' Eve, and he even joined Kelly in the co-hosting chair throughout the search process.
The longtime co-host tweeted on Sunday, April 30 that she’d announce her new colleague today, following Michael Strahan’s departure in spring 2016.
“Tune in tomorrow,” she said while holding a Live! With Kelly mug. “Trust me!”
Since the former NFL athlete's exit, a number of famous stars have joined the 46-year-old on the show, including Fred Savage, Carrie Ann Inaba, Andy Cohen, Anderson Cooper, and so many others.
Before Michael officially left the show, production made it clear they were in no rush to find a replacement for the GMA star.
“They’ll do the same thing they did when they found Michael … they’ll rotate a bunch of people in,” a source told People at the time.
