Kendra Wilkinson’s Mom Was Fearful of Her Daughter Dating Hank Baskett
Kendra Wilkinson’s drama with her mother is never ending.
The mother-daughter duo are working through their issues on this season of Marriage Boot Camp Reality Stars: Family Edition, but it turns out they still have a lot to deal with.
On tonight’s episode, Patti Wilkinson reveals she was fearful her daughter’s husband, Hank Baskett, was going to control the former Girls Next Door star when they started dating.
"When you came to me and said, ‘oh I met this guy, he's an NFL player,’ he said to me, ‘I want Kendra at all my home games,’” the 58-year-old said tearfully.
“‘Kendra's going to stop the show, and she's not going to do anymore appearances.’ My radar from that point on was up about him. I thought, 'Oh he's going to control her.’”
Patti has admitted her negative reaction to Kendra's relationship with the football player — who is the father to their daughter Alijah, 3, and son Hank IV, 7 — is because she’s trying to protect her.
"I'm your mother. I have a right to have these feelings of protection."
Due to their turbulent relationship, deciding to work together on the reality show was a very difficult decision for the mother of two.
"The decision to do Family Boot Camp with my mom was the toughest decision of my life. It really truly was,” she revealed to E! News.
"Doing Marriage Boot Camp with [my husband] Hank Baskett was easy. It was challenging while being there but it was an easy decision to make. Yes, of course, let's do it, whatever."
Also on tonight’s episode, Kendra learns her mother is thinking of writing a tell-all book about her life, which the 31-year-old is completely against.
When asked what her biggest fear is in regards to her mom, Kendra says, “Her writing a tell-all book.”
