UPDATE (10/11/17 at 11:42 a.m. ET):
Kim Zolciak is lawyering up.
The Real Housewives of Atlanta star hired high-profile attorney Marty Singer after Nene Leakes called her “racist.”
“Kim hired Marty to represent her and handle NeNe in light of Nene’s defamatory comments about Kim,” a source told Us Weekly.
“Marty and his team are advising Kim about what actions she can take.”

Original story (10/10/17 at 11:13 a.m. ET):
Rape, racism, riches — clearly no topic is off limits for the one and only NeNe Leakes.
The Real Housewives of Atlanta star is already in trouble for making some outlandish comments about rape, but now she's in hot water with — who else?! — frenemy Kim Zolciak, who's still pissed about the racist remarks NeNe made about her and her family last week.
In case you need a refresher, the Georgia peaches, who will both appear on the upcoming Season 10, began their feud last week when NeNe posted a Snapchat video of Kim's daughter, Brielle Biermann, seemingly proving the "rich bitch" had roaches in her house.
The 49-year-old took this as a racist remark, denying her house was infested with the bugs and replying in the Instagram comments, "You had to stoop so low and be so disgusting #racisttrash #jealous #KKK #thirsty you better run yo ass back to a child’s place."
And the mom of six is still not over these remarks.
"I’m handling it," Kim said of the feud, according to theJasmineBrand.com.
"It’s one thing to banter back and forth and we’re both on the same show, but this is a little too far for me."
She continued, "I have a problem with calling me racist and I have a problem with hashtagging ‘KKK’ so end of story."
Kim has come to her eldest child's defense while doing press for Season 6 of Don't Be Tardy, revealing on The Real that the video was a two-parter that was only intended to be for her, not the other housewives.
But NeNe isn't buying this either.
The former Glee star insists Kim sent it on a group chat to other castmates including Sheree, Cynthia, Marlo, Kandi and Porsha, and that it was clear Brielle intended to focus on the bug in the video, not her own reflection in the mirror.
"I give up," she concluded her Instagram comment.
We have a feeling NeNe hasn't given up, though — nor has Kim — and that this feud will continue well into RHOA Season 10.
Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 10 premieres Sunday, November 5 at 8 p.m. ET on Bravo.
