Luann De Lesseps Opens Up About Her Divorce During Sit Down With Andy Cohen

When Luann De Lesseps took to Twitter to announce her divorce from her husband, Tom D’Agostino, last month, most people weren’t all that surprised.

Unfortunately, Luann’s main storyline over the past season of Real Housewives of New York was about dealing with rumors that her husband was cheating.

On a special “One-On-One” episode of Watch What Happens Live!, which aired last night, Luann sat down with Andy Cohen and finally revealed if she believes Tom really cheated on her and what ultimately led to their divorce.

Throughout the past season of RHONY, the 54-year-old stood by her man, defending him against all cheating allegations.

However, now that Luann’s watched the season, she admits she “didn’t see all these red flags” and had “blinders” on for most of her relationship with Tom.

Those blinders didn’t finally come off until right before the reunion special aired.

“It was the weekend before the reunion [aired], basically. Tom went out and he called up an old girlfriend and they met up with a group of people. And I didn’t know about it,” she recalled.

“I found out about it the next day in the press,” she continued. “That for me was like, the final straw. I was like, ‘I can’t do this anymore.’”

Despite this, when asked if she believes Tom was ever “unfaithful,” Luann was clear that he never cheated, and neither did she.

“I don’t think he can leave his bachelor life,” she explained. “I think he really loved me, he still loves me.

“He was not going to change his lifestyle, it was a problem for me. He’s a flirty guy, he’s a social guy. People take it the wrong way sometimes, it’s not a good look.”

The mother of two also doesn’t put all the blame for the end of their marriage on Tom.

“Listen, you can’t blame [Tom] 100 percent, it was a bad situation that couldn’t get better,” she said. “Life takes care of itself.”

Ahead of Luann’s special, Tom also opened up about the divorce publicly for the first time.

“I fell in love, got married quickly and am very sad that two people in love are not together,” he told E! News. “The publicized reasons for the divorce make for a great reality TV story line. I wish Luann much happiness and love.”

Tom has already reportedly moved on, and is seeing a few women at the moment, including his ex-girlfriend, Missy, who caused a lot of drama on the show.
