Be careful what you tweet!

Pretty Little Liars star Lucy Hale has been facing backlash this week after she referred to her “baby hairs” in the caption of a photo from a recent photoshoot.

Of course, Twitter wasted no time letting her know she used the wrong term.

“The time my baby hairs came to good use at a shoot,” the 27-year-old actress wrote in the since deleted tweet.

Followers were quick to throw shade, letting her know she misunderstood the definition of “baby hairs.”

“Check the urban dictionary before using [baby hairs],” one person tweeted.

(FYI, Urban Dictionary’s top definition is, “When you try to grease down the fine hair that’s not as long as your natural hair.”)

Another user even called the actress’s tweet the “alternative facts of baby hairs,” referencing Trump aide Kellyanne Conway’s controversial comment about the size of the inauguration crowds last week.

The starlet quickly deleted the photo and tweeted out an apology after the whole incident.

“Sorry guys — I would never mean to offend anyone,” she wrote. “Honestly, my bad. I wasn’t thinking.”

However, other fans felt there was no need for her to apologize and defended the star.

“Lucy Hale had to apologise for this picture and caption,” one wrote. “I am baffled, I understand why some people are so annoyed but it is only hair.”
