UPDATE (6/30/16 at 5:45 p.m. ET):

The plot thickens!

Matt Baier has responded to his son's claims (below) that say he was a terrible absentee father...by insisting the 26-year-old only said those things because he was "strung out" and offered a lot of money.

In an exclusive with Real Mr. Housewife, Matt goes on a long rant about it all, saying Chris did the interview six months ago but it's been held until now.

“He was in trouble with the law and in between places to live,” Matt said of Chris. “When you’re offered an amount of money by anybody when you’re in that situation it’s really tough to turn down. He called me and said ‘Dad, look. They’re offering me this money. I told them I don’t have anything bad to say towards you. I’m not going to talk to them.’ I told him at that point he can do whatever he wants.”

The 46-year-old also insists he and his son are in a great place now, he's not upset by the article, and that he and Amber Portwood are trying to help Chris get his life together.

Only problem? The Ashley dug deeper into this story and it turns out Chris wasn't paid a dime for the interview, nor is he still an addict!

“Chris hasn’t used in years!” the author of the story reveals. “He wasn’t paid a dime, and wasn’t looking for money, he’s a really nice kid…He’s has had some issues with drugs, but it’s the past, he has a good job, and a girlfriend and he’s on the right track, he doesn’t want Matt to destroy anyone else, that’s all!”

Stay tuned for more developments...

ORIGINAL STORY (6/29/16 at 11:06 a.m. ET):

We just had an epiphany — Amber Portwood’s constant hair switch ups are all meant to distract us from her fiancé’s ongoing baby mama drama. We’re onto you, Amber!

The Teen Mom OG star’s husband-to-be Matt Baier is still dealing with all the drama we saw play out last season, where we learned he has seven secret children. Though Matt insisted on the show he only has five, documents have surfaced since proving his paternity for seven, or maybe even eight (!!!) kids!

Since then, five separate women have come after him for years worth of unpaid child support payments, and after learning the hearings got postponed twice already, we finally have an update on where things stand now.

There are five separate pending cases in five separate states, including Minnesota, South Dakota, and Massachusetts, where Matt is from, according to The Ashley.

Three out of five of the cases have been canceled for unknown reasons, while the remaining two were dismissed.

Apparently, a sixth child support case has been resolved, and the mom of the 44-year-old’s 8-year-old daughter received a $500 check in the mail. Now that the Boston native is getting paid by Viacom, MTV’s parent company, he’s got money to give to his exes and kids. Go figure.

While the above is all mostly good news for Amber and Matt, now one of Matt’s older children is speaking out for the first time about how terrible he was as a father.

“I had no father figure in my life,” 26-year-old Chris Baier reveals. “I hate that man, for everything he is and isn’t.

“I wanted a father, needed a father. I begged him to be my father the few times I talked to him on the phone. It was always a big fat nothing with him.”

NEWS: Matt Baier Accused of Being a “Liar” and a “Con”

Chris, who’s a recovering addict, even claims Matt used his son’s stories of drug addiction and passed them off as his own, likely so he could have something in common with Leah’s mama, who is now sober after a stint in prison.

“The truth of the matter is, he’s an evil, evil man, and when he did evil things, he was stone cold sober.”

Yet again, Amber hasn’t responded to the claims, and has instead been posting up a storm of smiley selfies.

Bored..playing with the Insta edit. Can't wait to see my Leah tomorrow! Goodnight loves

But we sure hope the legal drama doesn’t get swept under the rug when Teen Mom OG premieres later this summer!

The new season of Teen Mom OG premieres Monday, August 22 at 10 p.m. ET on MTV.
