One quick look at Meghan King Edmonds’s Instagram page proves the Real Housewives of Orange County star is happier than ever now that she’s pregnant with a baby girl.

But the road to expectant motherhood wasn’t all smiles. The Bravolebrity has revealed just how much of a toll IVF treatments took on her body.

“For me, with IVF, it was the hormones. It was really a roller coaster ride,” the 31-year-old told People. “Feeling exhausted and bloated … It changed my lifestyle.”

Although the stepmom of four — who did her own hormone injections — likes to work out daily, she was too tired to hit the gym. Plus, any exercise-related hit could’ve put her health at risk.

“My ovaries were growing so big that [it] was actually dangerous if they would’ve gotten hit,” the five-months pregnant celeb admitted. “They could’ve bursted.”

Yet Meghan knew all of her IVF hardships were worth it once she was officially carrying her first child.

“It was completely surreal,” the blonde said of the moment she found out she was pregnant. “I remember exactly where I was. I was in my bathroom in my California house, and Jimmy was out in the hallway.”

When her sportscaster husband Jim, who had a vasectomy but froze his sperm, heard the good news, “He was like, ‘Oh my God, it’s real!’”
