Joey Fatone Talks His LGBT Role in ‘My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2’ (VIDEO) —Exclusive
Joey Fatone is graduating from former boy bander to serious actor!
The NSYNC alum returns to the big screen this week for My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2, the sequel to the 2002 hit in which he also starred.
“It’s a tough thing to talk to your family about, so many people you’ve known for so many years,” Joey tells Wetpaint of taking on Angelo’s coming-out journey.
To prepare for filming, the 39-year-old turned to friends in the LGBT community, such as former bandmate Lance Bass, to be sure he was best portraying the experience on-screen.
So has this more dramatic part inspired the funny guy to pursue more serious projects in the future? Maybe not, but he’s got definitely going out of his comfort zone with the sci-fi Western, boy-band-filled movie Dead 7!
Check out the exclusive video above to find out more about Joey’s return to MBFGW, his sure-to-be cult classic, and much more!
My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2 is in theaters everywhere now, and check out Dead 7 on April 1 at 8 p.m. ET on Syfy.
