The once dreamy relationship between Nick Cannon and Mariah Carey has turned into a nightmare.

NEWS: Nick Addresses Rumors He’s Stalling Divorce from Mariah

The pair split up a year and a half ago, and although they've seemingly remained cordial, their divorce has not been finalized due to Nick's apparent refusal to sign. But a new song released by the rapper, "Divorce Papers", paints a different picture.

Warning: NSFW language.

The America's Got Talent host, 35, released the track on Thursday, June 16, and in it he laments not being able to see his kids and his desire to finish the divorce. "It's been 2 years and I'm the one that's been waiting," he raps. "Man, f—k it. Let's sign the papers."

But despite the lyrics that seem to bash his 46-year-old ex, the musician claims it's the media and the divorce lawyers with whom he's really frustrated. "I was like, 'You want Divorce Papers? Well here you go!'" he tells People, referencing reports that claim he's refusing to sign.

"The lawyer's line was also me releasing a little frustration at the attorneys on both sides," he continues. "Because lawyers always think they control the clients and they cause most of the friction, especially since my ex and I get along."

Even if she truly isn't the object of Nick's ire, Mariah still isn't a huge fan of the song. Sources tell TMZ that the diva has no idea what he's singing about when he claims that he's not allowed to see their two children, since she's never prevented him from doing so.
