Nick Viall Joins ‘Dancing With the Stars’ Season 24 (UPDATE)
UPDATE (2/28/2017 at 6:00 p.m. ET):
The worst-kept secret in TV was confirmed by Bachelor showrunner Mike Fleiss on Twitter late last night.
Though he doesn't specifically tag DWTS, it's clear where Nick is taking his dance talents this spring. And they are talents, apparently, as Mike calls his "little kicks" (a la Elaine Benes) "historic."
Can't wait to see it all play out — hopefully like this:

UPDATE (2/27/2017 at 4:45 p.m. ET):
After a two-year absence, Bachelor Nation is back to representing on Dancing With the Stars.
This comes just after showrunner Mike Fleiss teased a “historic announcement” around the franchise on Twitter.
At the time, spoiler king Reality Steve confirmed Nick’s casting was official — though he didn’t know if he’d be announced with the rest of the cast.
Yes, he's on it. Not sure if he'll be officially announced w the rest of cast Wednesday on GMA, but he's on https://t.co/c0ndpqY28aRealitySteve (@RealitySteve) February 27, 2017
Speaking of that cast, others said to be joining are Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ Erika Girardi, comedian Charo, Saturday Night Live alum Chris Kattan, bull rider and model Bonner Bolton, and Glee actress Heather Morris, 30.
Story still developing. Stay tuned to Wetpaint for more updates.

Original story (1/9/2017 at 11 a.m. ET):
After word spread the 36-year-old might be hitting the floor for Dancing With the Stars Season 24, he addresses the rumors in an interview, and doesn’t appear to deny it.
It’s only early January, but the show will likely start casting for the mid-March kickoff in the coming months.
Seeing as DWTS picks up right after Nick’s Season 21 love journey ends, it would definitely work with his schedule. Plus, he seems pretty enthusiastic about the possible experience.
“I mean, I haven't given it much thought. I think it would be fun, you know?” the Wisconsin native tells ETOnline.com. "Who wouldn't wanna do it?"
Well, a lot of people, actually. It’s been nearly two years since the last Bachelor Nation contestant, Chris Soules, and many believe his then-relationship to winner Whitney Bischoff suffered because of it.
That doesn’t seem to be a concern for our current Bachelor, though.
“If they asked — I mean, I don't think I would say my first thought wouldn't be no, but I think anyone would feel lucky to even be considered,” he admits.
Though Nick emphasizes his focus is currently on Bachelor, don’t be surprised if you see him doing other Hollywood-related work post-show — DWTS or otherwise.
“Before I was asked to be the Bachelor, I had been living in L.A. and I'd done some stuff in this entertainment world,” he explains.
“I also am lucky enough to have my own business, which I am focusing on, so a lot of that — my focus more than anything — is that business from a professional standpoint, and if I am lucky enough to do some other things then great.”
Ultimately, it sounds like he’ll be hearing out any and all opportunities.
“I think I would be open to any great opportunity,” he states. “I never thought I'd go back on Paradise or The Bachelorette or The Bachelor, but I think I have learned in life that it is best to sit back and let things come your way, and take each situation on its own.
“And if you think that it could be a great opportunity, then I think that is great and I am no different.”
