Phaedra Parks Defamation Lawsuit Goes to Trial
Phaedra Parks is headed to court, but this time it’s not on behalf of one of her high-powered clients.
According to reports, the Real Housewives of Atlanta cast member could very well be in an Atlanta courtroom later this week as her defamation lawsuit finally heads to trial after four years.
In 2012, Phaedra sued author Angela Stanton over claims Angela made in her book, Lies of a Real Housewife: Tell The Truth & Shame The Devil.

According to RadarOnline, Angela made the outrageous claim that Phae-Phae oversaw a “criminal enterprise” alongside her husband, Apollo Nida — who is currently serving eight years in jail for fraud and identity theft — using fake bank accounts, bad checks, stolen cars and worse.
Court records in the defamation case records also state Angela alleged the RHoA star had a secret “girlfriend,” was into “freaky” sex, and more.
After Phaedra sued her for defamation, Angela hit back with her own counterclaims. The mother of two tried multiple times to have the counterclaims dismissed, but, according to Radar, was denied most recently on March 12, 2016.

The site notes there is one more hearing for a potential summary judgment on April 20, but if the judge denies the judgment yet again, the case will go to trial on April 21 9:30 a.m. in Georgia.
If there’s any housewife we don’t want to face off against in court, it’s entertainment attorney Phaedra!
