Phaedra Parks: I Want Apollo and I to Have an “Amicable” Divorce

Divorces can get messy, especially when they involve two reality television personalities, but Phaedra Parks has every intention of keeping her split from convicted criminal and current jailbird Apollo Nida as painless as possible.

Though the Real Housewives of Atlanta star debated whether or not she would actually divorce her younger hubby, in recent weeks she’s made it clear that a legal separation is the best option for the pair and their two young sons — Ayden, 5, and Dylan, 2.

The mother of two outlined what she wants from the split in her latest blog, writing, “More than anything I want Apollo and I to keep everything amicable with a focus on what’s best for our children. All too often parents forget how much their decisions and behaviors impact their children, however I am very clear on the impact a divorce can have on children.”

As a lawyer, we bet Phaedra has seen some pretty terrible behavior from people in the midst of a divorce, so we’re glad to hear she’s ready and willing to take the high road.

“I choose to place the wellbeing of my children at the forefront and am very optimistic that Apollo and I will be able work past our differences for the greater good of our children,” Phae-Phae adds.

On a recent episode of RHoA, Phaedra said she was ready to take the boys to see their dad in prison, and even though it looks like those plans have been derailed, we have high hopes this couple can have an amicable divorce.
