‘RHOA’ Producers Want Phaedra Back On The Show — Report (UPDATE)
UPDATE (9/14/2017 at 3:30 p.m. ET):
Someone’s lying about Phaedra Parks returning to Real Housewives of Atlanta and we wonder what’s really the truth.
According to The Jasmine Brand’s sources, RHOA producers want Phaedra to come back on the show — not vice versa. These alleged sources claim the attorney is not the least bit interested in returning.
“She felt like she was set up,” a source shared.
“The whole ‘sex dungeon’ comment started as a joke’, but it just spiraled out of control.”
Another insider told the media outlet the producers’ portrayal of Phaedra negatively affected her other businesses, while another informant noted Phaedra is not suffering financially and is in fact very rich like castmate NeNe Leakes.
“Phaedra is a businesswoman. She just signed 10 new clients.
“She was living comfortably before the show and her business is still thriving.”
The reports about Phae Phae selling her home are also reputedly false. A third source says the mother of Ayden and Dylan only plans on selling the home she shared with ex-husband Apollo Nida and that’s not a secret.
“She’s not renting or leasing any of her properties,” the source said.
Read on to learn how other reports counteract this source’s perspective on Phaedra.
Original story (9/12/2017 at 3:25 p.m. ET):
New reports claim Phaedra has been struggling to make ends meet and is doing anything to support her family and get back on the show!
A source shared that the entertainment lawyer is reportedly selling one of her homes and asking RHOA producers if they would hire her back, Radar Online reports.
"She’s desperate for cash," the source revealed.
"She’s trying to sell one of her homes and lease a recently purchased home because she doesn’t have the substantial income that she was earning on RHOA.”
Despite her efforts, the mother of two has been met with “no’s.”
“They have repeatedly declined her offers because she no longer has an organic relationship with any of the Season 10 cast members," claims the source.
The media outlet also shared that Phaedra, out of desperation, "offered to date and open up more about her personal life."
However, the producers told her she only added value to the show when she was in a relationship with her ex-husband Apollo Nida, who’s now serving 8 years in prison on charges of mail, wire and bank fraud. "Viewers could relate to the stigma of dating a man with a troubled past and his journey to rehabilitating his life,” the insider expressed.
After the show's ninth season, Phaedra was removed from the cast because she lied about Kandi and her husband, Todd. Phaedra lied to castmate Porsha Williams, forewarning her that the couple wanted to rape and drug her.
The shocking truth was revealed during the RHOA Season 9 reunion special; not taking the 43-year-old's fibs lightly, Bravo gave her the boot.
Phaedra's character and her empire began to crumble once her ex-husband was found guilty of committing federal fraud. Many suspected Phaedra knew about his illegal activity.
Gayle St. Julien, Apollo's accomplice in his crimes, told MadameNoire, "It’s not a secret. Everybody knows that she knew, just like my husband knew."
"There were benefits that had been reaped and so if you go into a marriage and you know what a person is involved in, and you say ‘Okay, I can deal with it,’ and you take the diamonds, you take the trips, you take the bikes, you take the whatevers–then you take the time too. That should be the way it is," Gayle said.
After the saga with Apollo, the mom of two kept a relatively low profile but played the victim on RHOA. She claimed Kandi and other friends weren't supportive of her during Apollo's trial and later, their divorce.
With her mountain of lies continuously growing, it's no surprise Phaedra is in the position she's in now.
