Ramona Singer’s Divorce From Mario Finalized Two Years After Split
Ramona Singer is officially no longer a housewife!
Well, in the traditional sense, that is. The Real Housewives of New York star finalized her divorce from estranged husband Mario Singer this week, two years after the couple initially split after 22 years of marriage.
“We signed off on a divorce agreement last September,” the 59-year-old tells E! News. “Unfortunately, it took the judge over a year to sign off on it due to paperwork glitches.”
Though some women might stay home and grieve the end of a two-decade-plus relationship, the mom of one says she feels “phenomenal” and is “happier than ever.”
“I'm going out with a girlfriend tonight so I guess, yes, I am celebrating,” she reveals.
It probably helps the two have moved on a lot in the last year, with the reality star dating other men openly on the Bravo show. They’ve come a long way since July 2015, when she revealed the two were “not speaking” on Watch What Happens Live.
“It really doesn't matter what he thinks because he is my ex-husband and I have a new life,” she said at the time.
Now, she’s singing a very different tune, explaining the two were on “different paths.”
“[Mario] was a great husband but he wants to retire and live in Florida and I feel young in my mind … I'm full of life and vitality and I have more energy than a 25-year-old,” she muses. “I'm very excited. I have no idea where this is going but I'm excited.”
Congratulations on your new chapter, girl!
