Literally Nobody Believes Gretchen Rossi & Slade Smiley’s Relationship Is Real
While many topics from what we consider to be the Bravo show’s most dramatic offering ever were discussed, perhaps the most interesting was how everyone felt about the 37-year-old’s relationship with fiancé Slade Smiley.
In regards to the two getting engaged that season, nobody believe it’s legitimate at all.
“I remember having a conversation with Gretchen and I said to her, ‘You’re not doing anything. You’ve got nothing going on with your life. You have no kids, you’re not married’ — and lo and behold she came up with this big plan to propose to Slade,” Tamra Judge said.
“I didn’t believe her for a second,” Tamra continued. “I think Gretchen didn’t invite [the women to her proposal] because I think she knew we were gonna call bulls—t on it.”
Heather Dubrow, on the other hand, said Gretchen had revealed off-camera “a million times” that she’d never marry Slade because of “financial reasons.”
Hey Everyone, be sure to tune in tonight to @bravotv #RHOC Season 8 uncensored special. Unfortunately most of the questions I was asked during my interview, including why I ultimately am no longer on the show, did not get used. So if you want the unedited & complete version of what happened, you should ask @bravotv to air my entire interview (I give Bravo permission to air my full unedited version). Id even be happy to come on #WWHL with @bravoandy and discuss it... Hope you enjoy the "show" Thank you to all my fans through the years for the continued love and support. I love you guys
“It just seemed like the proposal was all tied into the show,” Andy Cohen added. “Here we are, three years later, and they still haven’t gotten married.
“So maybe if someone wants to do a Gretchen and Slade wedding on TV they’ll get married.”
One producer, Bill Fritz, called out some fakery that had been added by the couple for the cameras. Specifically, when Slade gifted Gretchen with a Rolls-Royce for her birthday.

“Everything was planned,” he insisted. “Slade didn’t buy this car and give it to her — he basically just got it over there so she could pay for it … and she ended up returning the car two weeks later.”
In her defense, Gretchen stands behind her storyline being “100 percent” true, claims she and Slade are “madly in love,” and said she doesn’t regret doing the show.
