Robin Thicke Was Drunk, High During Every 2014 Interview
Robin Thicke had a tough time in 2014. He separated from his wife Paula Patton, whom he first started dating at the age of 16, and also faced a lawsuit from the estate of Marvin Gaye concering the authorship of his hit "Blurred Lines" (which he eventually lost).
So it's not all that surprising that the "Get Her Back" singer battled substance abuse issues during this difficult period. We just didn't realize how serious his addictions were until now.
In a video obtained by the Hollywood Reporter from Robin's lawsuit deposition last year, the R&B star admits he was both high on Vicodin and drunk on alcohol during every single interview he gave to the press in 2014. According to his own admissions (and we don't think he'd make it up), the 38-year-old crooner wasn't sober for a single media appearance last year.
In the video, the 38-year-old artist is asked point-blank if he was drunk and on Vicodin during an interview with VH1 they had just watched, to which Robin replies, "I didn't do a single interview last year without being high on both." He also claimed he was heavily under the influence of both substances during the making of "Blurred Lines".
The video is from last year, so hopefully since then Robin has been able to treat his addictions and get them under control.
