Since Daryl Dixon’s (Norman Reedus) new job as a recruiter on The Walking Dead means he spends much of his time outside Alexandria’s walls we didn’t see him and disguised homemaker Carol Peletier (Melissa McBride) interact much in the second half of the season. But that doesn’t mean that Caryl supporters have given up on their favorite ship, especially since both characters are arguably more badass than ever.

So can we expect some Caryl lovin’ in Season 6? “I've had lots of talks with Scott [Gimple] about it. I like our relationship how it is. We don't have to make out to be who we are,” Norman tells The Hollywood Reporter. “We're kindred spirits; there's a brother-sister bond there that's almost stronger than a lovey-dovey bond.”

In fact, as much as it pains us to write this, Norman readily admits that he isn’t the most ardent of Caryl shippers. “I'm not totally against it but I'm not totally for it. It's tricky. Once you do that, it's there forever,” he explains. “To be honest, I'm not begging for it and I'm not opposed to it.”

We understand what Norman means about not really being able to go back once you take Carol and Daryl to that place, but there’s a part of us that still thinks it would be pretty awesome to watch all of that play out.

Are you hankering for a Caryl hook up, or do you like this pair just the way they are now? Tell us your thoughts and theories below!
