Serena Williams Addresses Secret Wedding Rumors, Pregnancy Cravings, and More
Serena Williams clears the air.
She wanted to make sure the world knew the truth about her life.
In an interview with E! News, the expectant mom addressed some of the rumors that have been flying around the news.
Serena told E! News that so far her pregnancy hasn't been very difficult.
"I have been really fortunate and I have had a really good pregnancy, and everything has just been really good," she said.
"Sometimes I am walking in my house, and I'm like, 'I really like being pregnant.' I never thought I would say that. I am definitely [the type] that enjoys it."
The Wimbledon champ hasn't even had any weird pregnancy cravings.
"I am a little disappointed with [having no cravings]. But I am OK with it because I feel like, maybe if I had the cravings, I would have a tougher pregnancy," she said.
The 35-year-old is making sure she has as healthy a pregnancy as possible.
"I have just been trying to eat healthy and stay fit and definitely eating healthier than I normally do. It's pretty backwards," she said.
Fans have been speculating that the baby will be a girl, but Serena claims they don't know the sex yet.
"[Sexism is] something we have to deal with in our lives, and I think if it is a girl, mommy is probably one of the best people that has been dealing with it, so we will have a lot of talk about!"
The GOAT said she's not in a rush to get back to playing tennis after the birth.
"If you know me, you know that I have the most unrealistic goals. I'm having a baby in the fall, and I am talking about playing in January. That is ridiculous," she said.
And as for the rumors of her having a secret wedding to fiance Alexis Ohanian, she promises that this is not the case.
"It hasn't happened yet, not that I am aware of!" she said.
"No, we are still waiting. There was a bridal shower, and after the bridal comes the bachelorette [party], which is not gonna happen right now!"
The athlete became engaged to the Reddit co-founder in December and announced her pregnancy in April.
