Is Southern Charm’s Cameran Eubanks Planning For a Baby? — Exclusive

To say the relationships on Bravos breakout hit Southern Charm are dysfunctional is an understatement. But one person who cant count herself among those romantic drama-entrenched Charlestonians is Cameran Eubanks.

Last season ended with America taking a collective gasp as it was revealed that bad boy politician Thomas Ravenel and sometimes-girlfriend Kathryn Dennis were pregnant. Season 2, which premiered last night, March 16, picks up with that same brand of crazy but somehow level-headed Cameran is able to stay above the fray.

Wetpaint Entertainment recently spoke with the newlywed who tied the knot with her doctor husband in spring of last year and she filled us in on married life, why she keeps her personal life off-camera, and whether babies are around the corner.

For all the scoop including how Southern Charm compares to MTVs Real World (on which she starred way back in 2004) read on! Plus, click over here to see the second part of our exclusive with Cameran, where she dishes on all of the Season 2 drama.

Wetpaint Entertainment: We were fans of yours from back on Real World: San Diego. How did that reality TV experience prepare you for Southern Charm?

Cameran Eubanks: I was in such a different place. I was 19 when I did The Real World, and back then, we were videotaped 24 hours a day, seven days a week there was no break. I think it definitely prepared me as to how to handle the interviews, which is a huge part of reality television.

With Southern Charm, Ive actually tried to be very careful to not have my personal life be included. Im married now my husband and I got engaged after Season 1 wrapped. Ive purposefully chosen to keep that out of the picture because I think people who put their personal life on TV are kind of nuts. Nine times out of 10 it doesnt end up working out.

How is married life treating you?

Its good! They say the first years the hardest, and it really has been pretty easy, so knock on wood. We still like each other and still get along wonderfully. Its been great.

Will your husband still stay off-camera this season?

Oh yes. He wants absolutely no part of it, and I dont blame him.

Will he watch the show when its on?

Yeah, he loves it! Hes totally supportive and loves the show, he thinks its great. But he has a pretty serious career going, so I dont blame him for wanting to stay out of the realm of reality television.

We see in the Season 2 trailer that babies might be on the horizon for the two of you. Are you planning to grow your family soon?

Yeah, thats obviously something you think of once you get married. Hes more ready than I am. I am definitely not pregnant now, I can tell you that. [laughs] No real desire anytime soon. Im waiting for that feeling to kick in, when you feel the urge to. It just hasnt kicked in and it might not ever, you never know. Before we got engaged, I sat down with him and said, I have no desire to have a child right now, there might be a big possibility I might never want to have a child, I just want to make sure youre not going to leave me if I dont give you a kid. And he told me he would not, so lets hope he sticks to that.

Southern Charm airs Monday nights at 10 p.m. ET on Bravo.
