MTV Movie Awards Trailers Include ‘Suicide Squad,’ ‘Fantastic Beasts,’ & More

Almost more exciting than the winners at the 2016 MTV Movie Awards last night, April 10, were the new trailers that aired throughout the night!

Check out previews for Suicide Squad, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, Captain America: Civil War, and Kong: Skull Island below.

Suicide Squad

We get an even more vile look at this supergroup of villains in this new “Blitz Trailer” for the newest film in the DC Extended Universe, due for release on August 5. And what a fun, boozy, debaucherous group of baddies they are!

Between all the explosions, sword swipes, and punches, we actually get a sense of the interplay between Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn, Will Smith’s Deadshot, and Jared Leto’s Joker… and a glimpse at a certain Caped Crusader.

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them

If the new faces, new New York settings, and a new (very old) timeframe don’t look familiar, the Harry Potter music will bring you right back to J.K. Rowling’s magical world in time for this November 18 release.

In this 1920s-set movie, we see magizoologist Newt Scamander (played by Oscar winner Eddie Redmayne) arrive in New York City along with a suitcase brimming with bizarre creatures.

And did we mention Newt is a Hogwarts alum? “What makes Albus Dumbledore so fond of you?” Colin Farrell’s character asks him.

Captain America: Civil War

The Avengers are at loggerheads in this May 6 addition to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but at least Captain America (Chris Evans) is working seamlessly with Falcon (Anthony Mackie) and Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen).

The three superheroes team up in this clip to take out a group of adversaries, with Scarlet even giving Cap a telekinetic boost.

Kong: Skull Island

“Kong appears in this film as you’ve never seen him before,” actor Tom Hiddleston says in the behind-the-scenes video for this Vietnam War-era reboot, coming out on March 10.

We don’t actually see the giant ape, but we do meet the team tracking him, including characters played by Oscar winner Brie Larson and Straight Outta Compton stars Corey Hawkins and Jason Mitchell.
