‘SYTYCD’ Winner Joshua Allen Sentenced to Jail for Domestic Violence


Another day, another reality star who has found himself in jail.

So You Think You Can Dance winner Joshua Allen was sentenced to one year in county jail after he plead no contest to domestic violence against his ex-girlfriend.

Along with his time behind bars, the Season 4 champ was sentenced to five years probation and 52 weeks of domestic violence counseling.

He was also ordered to stay away from the victim for 10 years, according to Los Angeles Daily News.

Back in 2016, the dancer reportedly attacked his ex-girlfriend, who was forced to run to a nearby coffee shop for help.

He then threw a vase at a woman who was trying to help the ex-girlfriend.

“Allen chased her into the coffee shop and threw a glass vase at a woman who attempted to help the victim and attacked another man who also tried to intervene,” prosecutors said.

Meanwhile, just a few weeks ago, America’s Got Talent winner Landau Eugene Murphy, Jr. was also arrested for domestic violence.

He was taken into custody after reportedly attacking a woman with a golf club, according to the Charleston Gazette-Mail.

The singer got into an argument with his baby's mother over who would take care of their 6-month-old child.

He was booked on a misdemeanor charge of both domestic battery and domestic assault, but was released on a $3,500 bond.

He also supposedly slapped her and slammed her head into the sidewalk.

Despite the claims of abuse, the reality star says he was the victim in the attack.

“In defending myself, she obtained some bruises and swelling on her face,” he said in a statement.

“I did not strike her.”

He continued, “I was raised to protect women, and if not provoked and feeling I was in danger, I would never have defended myself in this manner."
