Tamar Braxton Is Retiring From Music With ‘Blue Bird of Happiness’
Tamar Braxton is done with music.
The youngest Braxton sister revealed to fans on Instagram that her next album, Blue Bird of Happiness will be her last.
As you can guess, fans were not happy about the news.
Although she posted the news early this evening, Tamar’s post has garnered over 2,500 comments at the time of this writing.
“This is not her last album, when you're a true artist music ALWAYS follows you, you can't escape it. And seeing as she is a singer - songwriter the melodies and lyrics will always come so im sure im the future there will always be more Tamar it's inevitable[sic],” one fan wrote.
The “Love And War” singer captioned her social media announcement, saying: “THIS is my BEST & LAST album! Enjoy”
While some are devastated at her announcement, others reacted with rolling eye emojis and sighs.
If you keep up with the Braxton family, you know they’re known to retire from and come back to music all the time.
Just ask her sister, living legend, Toni Braxton.
After going through bankruptcy woes, health issues, and bad publicity, Toni was depressed and didn’t want to sing again.
"It's not affecting me, making me feel that thing I've always felt when I perform. It's leaving me,” she told Good Morning America.
"I'm not sure what's going on in my life. Maybe a female mid-life crisis? My heart isn't in it anymore. I hate to say that."
That was in February of 2013.
By December of that year, the “Secrets” singer announced she would be collaborating with friend and mentor Babyface on an album titled Love, Marriage And Divorce.
Four years later, Toni is releasing her hot, new single, Deadwood, from her Sex And Cigarettes album, which she will release in 2018.
So, maybe Tamar is taking a page out of her sister’s book.
Here are the Tamartians’ reactions:

Honestly, it seems like Tamar may just need a break so she can focus on her personal life.
On the last season of Braxton Family Values, the mother of one shared with her family that she suffered a miscarriage.
She was also still visibly upset about being fired from The Real talk show.
Do you think Tamar’s retirement is set in stone and will you be purchasing her new album?
Blue Bird of Happiness will be released on September 29, 2017
