New Rumors Circle About the Taylor Swift Kimye Feud

After the release of Taylor Swift's new single "Look What You Made Me Do," people are really enjoying speculating about the tension between the star and Kim Kardashian and Kanye West.

Now, reports have surfaced that Taylor hired Kim's close friend, photographer Mert Alas, to shoot her album cover photo.

A dramatic turn!

According to Radar Online, Mert, who is responsible for the cover to Taylor's just-announced upcoming album Reputation, is an old friend of Kim's.

The reality star presented him with the “Creative Of The Year Award” at the 2017 Fashion Los Angeles Awards, and the two have previously collaborated.

Kim and Mert were feeling the love on Instagram back in June.

This was in the period known as "before Taylor debuted a new single very obviously commenting on the drama surrounding Kim releasing film footage of her apparently giving Kanye permission for a lyric in song 'Famous' that she had publicly claimed to not have discussed with him."

The lyric in question was, of course, "I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex / Why? I made that bitch famous."

Someone claiming to be close to Kim is now whispering to Radar that the star thinks the song is "pathetic."

“Kim wants Kanye to be the one to respond if they do anything," this person said.

"She plans to be above it all and let him be the one to do or say anything,”

"Kim was so glad that she recorded that phone call between Kanye and Taylor because she thinks Taylor is a total liar and a fake,” the source continued.

“She knew she had to have to truth to get out there. And now she’s going to let Kanye do the dirty work.”

It is honestly so hard to imagine Kim (or Taylor, or Kanye) genuinely caring about this situation either way.

But, truly, who knows?

In case you missed it, Taylor's new single and upcoming album are part of her rebranded return to the public eye.

They come on the heels of the singer deleting most of her social media presence, and then teasing her comeback with a post of a snake.

As the lyric to her new track states: "The old Taylor can't come to the phone right now. Why? Oh, cause she's dead."
